DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna, a Czech manufacturer of switches and switch systems for rail transport, has completed another significant contract for the German public transport operator BSAG Bremen. The delivery, valued at nearly EUR 227,000, includes a track fan consisting of three switches and 55 metres of track panels.
The successful customer acceptance, which took place last week, was preceded by several months of design preparation, manufacturing, and final inspection of the supplied unit at the company’s production facility in Prostějov. The track structures will be installed directly at the BSAG Bremen depot, just before the entrance to the tram depot.
“This is another interesting project for a German customer. We supply our products to a number of cities there, including Berlin, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Krefeld and Cologne. The German market is a key outlet for us,” says Marek Smolka, CEO of DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna, a.s., adding: “German customers are among the most demanding. They insist on absolute dimensional accuracy and high-quality workmanship. Thanks to our ability to fully meet their quality requirements, they repeatedly return to us.”
The newly completed contract builds on the long-standing cooperation between the two companies and confirms not only their continued mutual trust, but also DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna’s ability to deliver unique, technically demanding solutions for international partners and to succeed on the European market over the long term.
The Prostějov-based manufacturer had already supplied the same depot in 2016 with two extensive track fans interconnected by track panels as part of a renewal project. “Over the past ten years, we have produced grooved rail track structures for a number of projects for the Bremen transport operator. Most recently, this included a tram intersection more than 82 metres long and equally wide, which was installed last summer at the junction of Bennigsenstrasse and Hastedter Heerstrasse,” concludes Dušan Kadlec, Commercial Director of the company.
